Summary

Diagnosing pregnancy malaria (PM) caused by Plasmodium falciparum is challenging due to parasite sequestration in the placenta and asymptomatic infections. Current rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) may have suboptimal accuracy for PM detection.

Background:
