Abstract:
This review of the relationship between aortic stiffness and blood pressure is based on several presentations made at the 2012 Council of High Blood Pressure Research. New information regarding genetic factors and molecular mechanisms involved in altering vascular responses are reviewed as a preview of emerging information in this area.
