[Spinal fusions in rheumatic dislocation of the cranio-cervical transition]

In 37 patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis fusions of the cranio-cervical region were performed. The different techniques of fusions are reported and their complications and rate of pseudoarthrosis are mentioned. In detail a modified technique of transarticular screwing according to the method of Magerl are given.
