Survivin expression impacts prognostically on NSCLC but not SCLC

Survivin is elevated in lung tumors, particularly Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) compared to Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Its expression and a specific gene variant correlate with prognosis in NSCLC but not SCLC.
