[Results of the caries prevention program in Gödöllö. III. Orthodontic studies]

The ratio of dental anomalies is nearly 50% which corresponds to the value 40 to 60% estimated on basis of international statistics. In the examined two years (1986 and 87) the deep and open bite was more seldom with the elderly age group while toth jam and canine ectopy were characteristic of children of 12 years of age. The Angle II anomaly was twice or three times more frequent than the Angle III one. Early recognition and treatment are very important in order to diminish an inclination to second attacks.
