Objective:
To review the clinical manifestation and laboratory examination of brucellosis.
Methods:
The clinical data of 229 patients with brucellosis admitted from January 2005 to June 2011 were retrospectively analyzed.
Results:
Compared with the past, the prevalence proportion in rural area, uncertain infectious route and irregular fever type of brucellosis increased. The clinical manifestation became diverse, and standard combination therapy made patients recover more quickly, and get a better prognosis.
Conclusion:
Compared with the past, the clinical manifestation of brucellosis has changed partly. In order to avoid misdiagnosis and mistreatment, clinical doctors should study the new characteristics of brucellosis and persist in taking the standard antibiotic treatment.
