The ovarian cycle regulates endometrial changes throughout a single menstrual cycle via the coordinated action of gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and gonadotrophins.
At puberty, GnRH begins a pulsatile release pattern, which triggers the anterior pituitary gland to secrete follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Summary

This pilot study found that the dietary supplement Lady Prelox® significantly improved sexual function in post-menopausal women compared to a placebo. The supplement demonstrated efficacy in enhancing desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, and reducing pain.

Background:

Menopause is associated with changes in sexual function.
Dietary supplements are being explored for managing menopausal symptoms.
The Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) is a key measure for assessing sexual health.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy of Lady Prelox®, a proprietary dietary supplement.
To assess improvements in sexual function among post-menopausal women.
To compare the effects of Lady Prelox® against a placebo control.

Main Methods:

A single-blinded, pilot study design was employed.
Participants were post-menopausal women with moderate sexual function impairment.
The study involved a treatment group (Lady Prelox®) and a placebo control group, with assessments over eight weeks.

Main Results:

Lady Prelox® significantly increased total FSFI scores after four and eight weeks.
The supplement showed comparative efficacy over placebo (P<0.05).
All six FSFI domains (desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, pain) showed positive responses to Lady Prelox® without significant adverse effects.

Conclusions:

Lady Prelox® presents a promising treatment option for women with impaired sexual function.
Further research with larger cohorts, including pre- and perimenopausal women, is recommended.
The study highlights a potential non-hormonal approach to improving post-menopausal sexual health.
