Unusual laryngeal cyst.

    Summary

    A rare lateral saccular cyst of the larynx, presenting with airway obstruction, was successfully removed. This surgical intervention avoided the need for a tracheostomy in a patient with a long-standing neck mass.

    • The cyst was successfully removed, addressing the patient's airway obstruction.

    Implications:

    • This case highlights the importance of considering lateral saccular cysts in the differential diagnosis of neck masses and airway obstruction.
    • Successful surgical management can resolve symptoms and prevent the need for more invasive procedures like tracheostomy.
