Surgical Techniques to Optimize Ovarian Reserve during Laparoscopic Cystectomy for Ovarian Endometrioma

  • Surgical interventions included laparoscopic cyst excision and laparoscopic adrenalectomy.

    • Fourteen patients diagnosed with adrenal cysts over a 10-year period.
    • Mean patient age was 41.36 ± 5.57 years.
    • Laparoscopic procedures were performed on all 14 patients.

    Conclusions:

    • Adrenal cysts necessitate intervention when large (>5 cm), symptomatic, functional, or potentially malignant.
    • Laparoscopic management (decortication/excision) is safe and effective.
    • Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery leads to reduced blood loss and shorter hospital stays.
