Pain is critical to various clinical pathologies, provoking an urgent need for effective management. Pain, whether acute or chronic, is a complex neurochemical process. Summary

Background:

Neuropathic pain, arising from nerve damage, presents significant treatment challenges.
Facial pain following traumatic peripheral nerve injury often proves refractory to conventional analgesics.

Observation:

This study investigated pregabalin's efficacy in patients with post-traumatic peripheral nerve injury facial pain.
Participants had not responded adequately to previous analgesic treatments.

Findings:

Pregabalin demonstrated effectiveness in managing post-traumatic peripheral nerve injury facial pain.
The medication was generally well-tolerated by the study participants.

Implications:

Pregabalin offers a viable therapeutic option for refractory neuropathic facial pain.
Further research may explore optimal dosing and long-term outcomes.
