Summary

This study presents a computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system using dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) for detecting breast micro-calcifications. The DT-CWT method achieved high accuracy in classifying ROIs and micro-calcifications, demonstrating its effectiveness.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To develop and evaluate a CAD system for breast micro-calcification detection.
  • To assess the effectiveness of DT-CWT in analyzing micro-calcification features compared to other wavelet transforms.

  • Extraction of 25 abnormal and 25 normal ROIs.
