The relationship between peripheral arterial tonometry and classic measures of endothelial function

Peripheral arterial tonometry (PAT) measures microvascular function and is reduced in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients, but does not correlate with flow-mediated dilation (FMD). Further research is needed for its clinical use in cardiac risk stratification.
