Purpose of the Study:

  • Retrospective chart review of 347 patients transported by HEMS over 6 years.

  • Comparison of trends between January 2003–December 2005 and January 2006–December 2008.

  • Interhospital HEMS transport enhances access to critical stroke care in rural populations.
