Background:

Leiomyomatosis peritonealis disseminata (LPD) is a rare benign condition characterized by smooth muscle nodules on peritoneal surfaces.
It is often associated with hormonal stimulation, such as pregnancy or oral contraceptive use, though this case presents atypically.

Observation:

A 49-year-old Oriental woman presented with symptomatic and progressive LPD.
The patient exhibited several atypical features, including lack of hormonal abnormalities and no history of contraceptive drug use.
Disease recurred three times over 4 years despite surgical interventions including hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.

Findings:

This case represents the second reported Oriental patient with LPD and features a prolonged follow-up period.
