: Cyclosporine, a potent immunosuppressive drug, is effective therapy in organ transplantation and some autoimmune diseases. Four randomized controlled trials have evaluated cyclosporine treatment for Crohn's disease. An overview of the results of these studies suggests that cyclosporine has no proven therapeutic benefit.
