Abstract:
We have used methyl methacrylate as bone substitute in 8 clinical cases for a variety of problems, from simple nasal implants to more complicated mandibular reconstruction including the temporomandibular joint complex. The follow-up period, which ranged up to 36 months, has been very encouraging and we continue to use this material routinely in our Unit. We present our experience. Three illustrative cases are described.
