Photodynamic therapy (PDT) may reduce macular edema in retinal capillary hemangioma (RCH). However, visual acuity improvement is not guaranteed, particularly for juxtapapillary RCH.

- Visual acuity outcomes may not consistently improve, especially with juxtapapillary tumors.
- Further research into optimal PDT parameters for RCH is warranted.
