Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery significantly reduces dietary energy density (DED) and energy intake (EI) for over two years. While not directly correlated with weight loss, these changes in food choices offer nutritional benefits.

- No significant correlation was found between DED reduction and %WL.
- Post-RYGB dietary modifications, including reduced DED, appear nutritionally beneficial despite varying FW and lack of direct correlation with weight loss.
