Association between elevated pleural interleukin-33 levels and tuberculous pleurisy

Elevated pleural interleukin-33 (IL-33) levels are associated with tuberculous pleurisy. However, adenosine deaminase (ADA) and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) remain superior diagnostic markers for this condition.
