Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) stimulates steroidogenesis in canine corpus luteum (CL) by activating steroidogenic acute regulatory protein (STAR) expression. This suggests PGE2 plays a key role in regulating progesterone secretion during the canine luteal phase.
