Main Results:

  • Two new diterpenoids, acerifolin A (tigliane type) and acerifolin B (isopimarane type), were identified.
  • Two known compounds were also isolated from the plant extract.
  • The cytotoxic potential of all isolated compounds was assessed.

Conclusions:

  • The study successfully identified novel diterpenoids from Excoecaria acerifolia.
  • The isolated compounds demonstrated varying degrees of cytotoxicity against tested cancer cell lines.
  • Further research may explore the therapeutic potential of these diterpenoids in oncology.
