Palatal plasmacytoid myoepithelioma

Plasmacytoid myoepithelioma is a rare salivary gland tumor. This case report details a 45-year-old woman with a hard palate mass, initially suspected as pleomorphic adenoma, but confirmed as plasmacytoid myoepithelioma.

- Histopathological examination revealed sheets of large, homogenous cells with plasmacytoid features and eosinophilic cytoplasm, lacking ductal or acinar differentiation.
Findings:
- The histopathological findings were inconsistent with Pleomorphic Adenoma.
- The observed features strongly supported the diagnosis of plasmacytoid myoepithelioma.
- Absence of ductal and acinar differentiation was a key diagnostic criterion.
