Ethical challenges are prevalent in physiotherapy practice.
Understanding physiotherapists' moral sensitivity is crucial for ethical care.
Previous research has not fully explored the scope of ethical issues faced by physiotherapists.

Purpose of the Study:

To identify and describe ethical problems encountered by physiotherapists.
To assess the moral sensitivity of physiotherapists in ethical situations.

Main Methods:

A questionnaire-based survey was developed to identify ethical problems.
The Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire Revised version was used to measure moral sensitivity.
116 physiotherapists in public health services participated.

Main Results:

Most physiotherapists encounter ethical problems weekly.
Key issues include financial considerations, equality, justice, professionalism, misconduct, and patient self-determination.
Moral strength was a prominent aspect of self-assessed moral sensitivity.

Conclusions:

Ethical problems exist at individual, organizational, and societal levels.
Physiotherapists exhibit moral strength in patient advocacy.
Resource scarcity impacts perceived sufficiency, yet collaborative quality care is achievable.
