Recurrent transient ischaemic attack and early risk of stroke: data from the PROMAPA study

- Patients with multiple TIAs had a significantly higher stroke risk at 7 days (5.9%) and 90 days (6.8%) compared to single TIA patients.
Conclusions:
- Multiple TIAs within 7 days are linked to a greater subsequent stroke risk than single TIAs.
- No independent predictors of stroke recurrence were identified among patients with multiple TIAs.
