Sleep-disordered breathing and daytime napping are associated with maternal hyperglycemia

Sleep-disordered breathing symptoms and daytime napping are linked to hyperglycemia in pregnant women. Sleep duration itself was not associated with increased glucose challenge test levels, suggesting further research into gestational diabetes risk factors.

- Overall sleep duration did not show a significant association with hyperglycemia.
- Further research is warranted to determine if SDB symptoms or daytime napping increase the risk for developing gestational diabetes.
