Summary

This study compared two anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction techniques. While both showed similar outcomes, the double-bundle technique with Endobutton fixation yielded slightly better clinical results after four years.

  • Group 1 (n=20): Intra-extra articular single-bundle technique with staple fixation.
  • Group 2 (n=20): Intra-articular double-bundle technique with Endobutton post-fixation.

    • No substantial overall difference was observed between the two surgical techniques at 4-year follow-up.
    • Clinical outcome measures (IKDC, Lysholm, Tegner scores) indicated superior results for the double-bundle technique.
