Summary

Extended left colectomy can lead to anastomotic leakage. Both right colonic transposition (RCT) and complete intestinal derotation (CID) are safe techniques for colonic rotation, with similar complication rates. RCT more frequently requires middle colic artery ligation and additional resection.
