A new microdialysis test accurately identifies malignant hyperthermia (MH) susceptibility in patients with high creatine kinase (CK) levels. This minimally invasive method offers a safer alternative to muscle biopsy for diagnosing MH predisposition.

  • Halothane or caffeine was administered locally, and lactate concentrations in dialysis samples were measured.
