Summary

Bisphosphonate-enriched bone cement increased osteoprotegerin ligand (OPG) and decreased receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) in rats. This suggests bisphosphonates in bone cement effectively reduce bone resorption.
