Abstract:
Phospholipid concentrations and composition of erythrocyte membrane were examined in 55 healthy volunteers (age: 20-62 years). All measured parameters were independent of age and sex of the individuals studied. Their reliability to be used as reference for further studies in patients was proved. The qualitative determination of phospholipids and their quantitative evaluation based on the chemical phosphate estimation was performed with TLC after extraction of the lipids from the intact erythrocyte.
