Proteinuria in systemic sclerosis: reversal by ACE inhibition

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients with kidney disease and proteinuria showed significant improvement with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor therapy. ACE inhibitors led to proteinuria resolution in 74% of SSc patients, compared to only 25% in untreated patients.

- ACE inhibitors represent an effective treatment strategy for managing proteinuria in systemic sclerosis, improving renal outcomes.
