[Nomenclature in genetics of sheep color]

The International Committee (COGNOSAG) was founded in 1984 with the view of development of nomenclature and analysis of genetic determination of wool and hair colour, visible traits and polymorphisms. At the Workshop 3 of COGNOSAG (July 1988) the completed variant of colour genes' and alleles' list was worked out. The type of phenotypic expression of alleles of genes A, B, C, E, Ph, Rn, S, Sp, SuB and SuS is shown.
