Background:

Interprofessional collaboration is crucial in healthcare, especially for geriatric patients with complex medication needs.
Effective geriatric training for future pharmacists and physicians requires practical, team-based learning experiences.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the impact of a mandatory interprofessional geriatric medication activity on pharmacy and medical students' attitudes towards collaboration.
To assess the activity's effect on students' understanding of geriatric care and interprofessional teamwork.

Main Methods:

Interprofessional teams of pharmacy and medical students conducted in-home interviews with senior mentors (geriatric patients).
Teams collaboratively analyzed medication use, identified problems, and reflected on the interprofessional experience in essays.
