Early inflammatory response in soft tissues induced by thin calcium phosphates

Hydroxyapatite (HA)-coated titanium implants show a reduced inflammatory response compared to uncoated titanium. This suggests HA coatings are promising for soft tissue applications by downregulating inflammatory cell recruitment.
