Inclusion of patients with perforated appendicitis and analysis of clinical characteristics and surgical outcomes.

Main Results:

No significant demographic differences were observed between the single-incision and three-port groups.
The single-incision group reported significantly lower postoperative Day 1 pain scores and shorter recovery times to daily life.
In perforated appendicitis cases, the single-incision procedure was associated with a shorter operative time and significantly reduced hospital stay and recovery time.

Conclusions:

Single-incision laparoscopic appendectomy is a technically feasible and safe procedure.
It offers advantages over three-port laparoscopic surgery, including reduced invasiveness, pain, and faster recovery.
The technique is effective even in cases of perforated appendicitis.
