Background:

Effective debriefing is crucial for surgical learning but lacks a consistent culture in practice.
Few studies have prospectively evaluated interventions to enhance surgical performance feedback.

Purpose of the Study:

To assess the current state of operating room debriefing.
To develop and evaluate the "SHARP" intervention for improving surgical debriefing.

Main Methods:

A prospective pre- and post-study design involving 100 surgical cases.
Utilized the Objective Structured Assessment of Debriefing (OSAD) tool and ethnographic observation.
Introduced the "SHARP" intervention after 50 cases and reassessed outcomes.

Main Results:

Significant improvement in OSAD scores post-SHARP intervention (P < 0.001).
Excellent interrater reliability for OSAD (ICC = 0.994).
