Background:

Understanding the link between personality traits and driving behavior is crucial for developing effective driver safety interventions.

To investigate the multifaceted relationships between various driving styles and personality traits using the alternative 5-factor model.
To examine potential variations in these relationships based on gender and age among drivers.

Survey data collected from 908 Argentine drivers.
Driving styles assessed via the Multidimensional Driving Style Inventory.
Personality traits evaluated using the Zuckerman-Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire (ZKPQ-50-CC).

Observed relationships between personality and driving styles were largely robust across gender and age groups.
