Microalbuminuria is more common in COPD patients and linked to disease severity and hypoxemia. Regular screening for microalbuminuria in severe COPD is recommended to assess cardiovascular risk.

- Microalbuminuria prevalence in COPD is associated with disease severity and hypoxemia.
- Regular monitoring of microalbuminuria in severe COPD patients is crucial for cardiovascular risk assessment.
