An ischemic stroke occurs when a cerebral blood vessel becomes obstructed, most often by a thrombus or embolus, interrupting the delivery of oxygen and glucose to brain tissue.   • Their impact on cognitive function, particularly in patients with lacunar infarct, remains poorly understood.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the distribution of cerebral microbleeds in patients with lacunar infarct.
  • To determine the association between cerebral microbleeds and cognitive function in this patient group.
  • To identify predictors of cognitive impairment in patients with lacunar infarct.
