Abstract:
The regeneration of musculofascial tissue in vivo poses multiple challenges. Various bioprosthetic materials are commercially available and have made a major positive impact in this field, but they have considerable limitations. The development of novel scaffolds that produce better functional outcomes and cost less will be critical to the ability to successfully regenerate musculofascial tissues in humans.
