Background:

  • Suprapubic cartilaginous cyst (SPCC) is a rare condition resulting from pubic symphysis degeneration.
  • It predominantly affects postmenopausal, multiparous women and is often misdiagnosed due to slow progression and rarity.

Observation:

  • Clinical presentation may include a suprapubic mass, urinary retention, recurrent UTIs, dysuria, and dyspareunia.
  • This case report highlights a unique SPCC with punctate calcifications and a locule of gas.

Findings:

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is the preferred diagnostic modality for suspected SPCC.
  • This is the first documented instance of punctate calcifications within a suprapubic cartilaginous cyst.
