Summary

This study reveals K(4)GeP(4)Se(12) exhibits significant nonlinear optical (NLO) responses, particularly second-harmonic generation (SHG), in its glassy state. Heat treatment dramatically enhances SHG efficiency for NLO applications in the mid-infrared spectrum.
