Communication between human mast cells and CD4(+) T cells through antigen-dependent interactions

Human mast cells (MCs) can present antigens to CD4(+) T cells, activating them. These antigen-presenting mast cells are found in human tonsils, suggesting a role in T-cell immune responses.
