Amphotericin B is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent that exploits structural differences between fungal and mammalian cell membranes. Summary

Laboratory contamination poses a threat to clinical specimen analysis. Routine Diff-Quik staining of laboratory fluids can prevent misdiagnosis of fungal infections from contaminated reagents.
