  • 91 eligible pages were analyzed.

  • The mean age of potential recipients was 37, with 88% being US residents.
  • Page content frequently included recipient photos (76%), blood type (64%), and location (71%).
  • 32% of pages reported donor testing, and 10% reported successful transplants; pages with donor testing showed higher engagement.

Conclusions:

  • Sharing detailed recipient information and transplant specifics on social media may enhance donor engagement and testing.
