  • Cross-sectional study using postal questionnaire data from the Commuting and Health in Cambridge study (2009).
  • Assessed active commuting (walking/cycling) time via a seven-day travel-to-work recall.
  • Physical and mental wellbeing measured using the Medical Outcomes Study Short Form survey (SF-8).
  • Analyzed associations using multivariable linear regression.

  • A significant positive association was found between increased time spent in active commuting and higher physical wellbeing scores (PCS-8).
