VEGF and GM-CSF levels in nodular thyroid diseases

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) and Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) are not elevated in euthyroid patients with benign thyroid nodules. These factors do not appear to contribute to the development of simple nodular goiter.
