Abstract:
Today technical and social possibilities allows easy day care hospitalisation for 20% infant surgery. Anaesthesia requires among other conditions a duration shorter than 1h30, an infant older than 6 months, a planified hospitalisation including anesthetic advice with parents. Surgeon-anaesthesist cooperation is required for agree patients to day care and to authorize them to come back home. Then the numerous advantages tied to this practice could be developed in security for infants and their parents and without legal difficulties for medical and surgical team.
