Circadian rhythms in acute intermittent porphyria--a pilot study

Women with active acute intermittent porphyria (AIP) show disrupted circadian markers, including altered cortisol and melatonin levels. These disturbances in circadian rhythms may contribute to the clinical symptoms of AIP.
