Summary

Transcranial laser therapy (TLT) did not reduce infarct volume in acute ischemic stroke patients. This study found no significant benefit of TLT on overall or cortical infarct size in the subacute phase.

  • Prespecified subgroups with indicators of cortical involvement also showed no treatment effect from TLT.
